Helping as
a volunteer
Running a large HQ building, a Beaver Colony, a Cub Pack
and a Scout Troop plus dozens of activities and camps each
year costs money - and lots of it. We need volunteers to
support the work of our Committee in raising money and to
help maintain the building and run our activities. All
parents and guardians are strongly encouraged to join but
other members of the community who "want to give something
back" are welcome to apply to. Raising money helps keep our
subscription fees down so there's a real benefit to your
children and your pockets.
Volunteering is open to all parents, guardians and helpers
including those who have had children with the group in the
past and would like to continue their association with us.
To help we simply need your contact details, what skills
you have and a commitment to help at least once a year on
request. We won't ask you to do anything you do not want to
do but giving just 1 hour of your time can make a real
difference.
